He is gold in color, wears three robes of a monk, his hair is dark blue, and the protuberance of enlightenment is on his head. He holds in his hand the begging bowl of a monk, while his right hand touches the earth in the "earth witness" gesture invoking the earth as a witness to his realization.

An alter cloth is included to cover your shrine area, and a hand painted deity card with frame, which maybe placed behind the statue.

* * * * *
Prayer Flags- known as "Windhorse" they contain phrases requesting good health and fortune. Surrounding the printed invocation and central image of the windhorse are four power animals, the tiger, snowlion mythic eagle known as garuda, and the thunder dragon. They represent the four qualities that must be cultivated by the spiritual warrior.

Katag - these white scarves are used extensively by Tibetans. The are draped on statues as a formal gesture of "meeting" the deity, presented to one's guru as a symbol of devotion and purity, and given to friends going or returning from a journey as a symbol of good luck. Because of the harsh Tibetan climate the katag came to replace the garland of flowers used so extensively throughout Asia.

Vajra Pendant - the vajra or "diamond sceptre" represents Buddha nature. A practitioner strives for the source of his or her true being, wishing to experience the pure state that is likened to a diamond, solid, unbreakable, yet clear and transparent.

Incense - is one of the five offerings made to a deity, the others being flowers, water, sandalwood powder, and fruit or cooked rice.

Mala - or "rosary helps to center the mind away from distracting thoughts. As each bead is passed through the fingers the practitioner recites his or her personal mantra. The large shaped central bead represents Mount Meru, also known as Mount Kailash. Situated in the Himalayas it is considered by Tibetans to be "the navel of the world", and is a place of pilgrimage for Buddhists and Hindus alike. One should not pass one's fingers over the Meru bead but turn the mala around and proceed back the other way.

Mani Stone - The hand carved mantra "OM MANI PADME HUM" Symbolizes in sound the compassion towards all sentient beings that is the central theme in Tibetan Buddhism. It is the song of Tibet, murmured constantly by the devout as they count their beads. It is used as a means of concentrating the mind on the meaning of compassion while its vibrations evoke a corresponding felling in the heart.
