This image shows the three great bodhisatvas: Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara and Vajrapani.
They are known collectively as the lord of the three families, but they are not Buddha's.
The three Buddha families are: Tathagata, Padma and Vajra.
The three primal poisons, Ignorance, Desire and Anger are represented by the pig, cockerel and snake. Avalokiteshvara is the lord of the Padma family.
