Manjushri
This image shows the three great bodhisatvas:
Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara and Vajrapani. They are known collectively as the lord of the three families,
but they are not Buddhas. The three Buddha families are: Tathagata, Padma and Vajra. The three primal poisons, Ignorance, Desire and Anger are represented by the pig, cockerel and snake. Red and yellow Manjushri is the lord of the Tathagata family of desire or attachment. His sword of wisdom cuts through the veil of ignorance.
