Intel Play Microscope Qx3
Lets say that one more time! Qx3 is a "Toy".
Q.
I heard that
Intel has discontinued all Intel® Play™ toys. Is this true?
A. Yes. All Intel Play Toys were discontinued in March 2002. No
further development or updates will be made for these products.
Q. Does the softwear that
supports this product, have any scientific value?
A. No. The soft wear is designed for 6 year olds, it includes a paint program and adjustments to
alter the color and a host of cool things for kids.
In conclusion; the photos
under the microscope at 60x of henna powders "that may have been
manufactured in 2001 or 2002" have no significant value
whatsoever and should not be considered a reliable source, but
an amusement.
Our current Henna Stock is
2011 and 2012?
Henna crops vary from year
to year and from crop to crop, due to weather conditions, global
warming, drought and so on.
Manufacturer's
Description:
Intel Play QX3 Computer
Microscope makes science and learning more fun than ever before.
Children just place objects under this translucent, blue
microscope and the images are displayed on their computer's
monitor and can be magnified 10, 60 or 200X. A great software
package gives children a multitude of creative options. They can
add video or audio effects and artwork to their images, e-mail
their creations or group slides together to build a cool
time-lapse movie.
The Intel Qx3 Microscope
is a wonderfully innovative "toy" for the PC. Built in a rugged
blue plastic, the microscope is designed for children aged six
and up, though there is certainly no upper limit and this is one
product that will see parents and their children fighting for
their turn.
The Qx3 is simple to
set up on a Windows 98/Me computer, utilizing a USB port and
handily there is no additional power cable to worry about, as
the microscope draws its power from the USB port itself. The
software is fun orientated, including options for creating
time-lapse movies or creative editing and special effects,
though adults may become frustrated at some of its
child-targeted foibles.
The actual microscope
uses the monitors display as the viewing eye, which does mean
that when you place an object under the lens, all present can
view the object without having to "fight and refocus". The zoom
can be set to three magnifications: 10, 60, 200X and the image
quality is excellent--equivalent to a good quality webcam.
Positioning objects can be frustrating, especially at higher
magnifications, as they have a tendency for the slightest
adjustments to send the image completely out of shot.
The Intel Qx3
Microscope is an excellent way to use your PC, that will be both
educational and stimulating for children, plus a lot of fun for
adults.
